Hot Stone Massage – Mt. Kisco
Not all Hot Stone courses are created equal. Learn the right way the first time around! Proper training can save you and your clients from a less than pleasant experience. These two powerful days of training provide everything you need to safely and effectively offer one of the most sought-after spa therapies. In this class you will learn benefits, contraindications, client care including how to alter your approach to accommodate the elderly, as well as how to incorporate the use of hot stones as a quick stand–alone technique to soften areas of chronic muscular congestion. We will also cover self-care for the LMT, training in 60 and 90 minute hot stone massage protocols including specific techniques to address major muscle groups, hands-on instruction and practice devoted to giving and receiving a complete hot stone massage session, a detailed training manual for future reference, and certificate of completion. On day one, we will spend the morning learning about hot stone massage and see a demonstration of techniques. The afternoon will be spent trading supervised hot stone massage sessions, becoming familiar with techniques and enjoying this deeply relaxing and detoxifying therapy. Day Two will be spent solely in supervised practice, trading hot stone massage sessions, delving more deeply into techniques and building familiarity with this powerful discipline. You’ll log plenty of practice hours and leave feeling ready to begin offering this therapy within your practice. You'll also experience first-hand the deeply relaxing and detoxifying effects of this therapy. And if you're wondering about the cost-effectiveness of the training, consider this: the first 2-3 hot stone massage sessions that you offer within your practice will pay for the tuition you spend on this class.
