Labor and Postpartum Massage – Mt. Kisco
December 3, 2016
The Childbearing Cycle is a sacred and transformative time for women. Pregnancy can be a beautiful experience while labor, childbirth and postpartum can be challenging. As massage therapists we can offer support and nurturing. The benefits of touch for a Laboring and Postpartum Mother are profound. In a caring and nurturing environment we will explore positioning, massage techniques and communication appropriate during Labor and Postpartum. It is a beautiful and heart centered practice to offer bodywork during the childbearing cycle. In this two-day workshop students will gain a deeper understanding of the physiology of labor, understand physical and hormonal shifts and learn techniques that work to offer relief and support for a woman during one of the most empowering and important events in her life. Positioning and comfort measures will be discussed as well as contraindications.Danielle Guillet approaches bodywork, yoga and teaching with a sense of reverence and curiosity.
