This EXPANDED workshop provides more time to integrate the sequence than the intensive 16 hour course (no longer taught). The workshop will introduce the history and theory of Thai Yoga Massage, as well as the techniques of rocking, palming and thumbing using proper body mechanics. All of this will be combined into a valuable and practical approach to giving a thorough one hour (though easily taking 1.5 hours if moving slowly) Thai Yoga Massage.
It is important that students have a conscious approach to touch, and a general understanding of body alignment. Thai Yoga Massage is performed on a mat on the floor. It requires that the practitioner is able to kneel and squat without discomfort. This form of massage can be relatively physical, requiring strength and balance from the practitioner. If you are interested in taking the workshop but concerned about the physical requirements, please contact Diana to discuss.
An in-depth and detailed binder of information will be provided, including images of the sequence with written descriptions of each move. Along with this, a video of the sequence with verbal instruction is also included. Wholesome snacks and tea will be provided.
