Save Your Thumbs: Forearm Techniques for the Posterior Body

Save your thumbs and use the forearm instead! As massage therapists, we commonly overuse our wrists, fingers, and thumbs occasionally resulting in muscular pain, fatigue or strain.   The forearm is a lovely and functional alternative to a thumb or hand.
In this workshop, you will learn strategies and tips for using the forearm as your primary massage tool for either posterior body or, anterior and side body. There is a strong emphasis on proper body alignment, mechanics and arm positioning. Both Swedish and Myofascial techniques will be demonstrated and discussed.
